V.V. Nair – Founder & Managing Director
A Mechanical Engineer having more than 5 decades experience in this field and who has worked with Vijay Tanks before setting up Sharp Tanks & Structural’s in 1987.
Mr. Nair underwent training at Graver Tanks and Manufacturing Co., Chicago (USA) and acquired thorough knowledge in construction of Cryogenic storage tanks, Spheres, large floating Roof Tanks and operation of automatic girth welding machine.
He has successfully led the teams on several projects in India and overseas in construction of Cryogenic Refrigerated tanks, Horton Spheres for LPG, Propane Storage tanks (Cone roof and Floating roof) for petrochemical products.

Sharp Tanks & Structural’s Pvt. Ltd (STSPL) is one of the Major Company in Engineering & Construction field for Hydrocarbon, Oil and Gas Sector Services having Work Experience in Varies Projects both in India and Abroad. STSPL has been involved in Construction of Storage Tanks like Floating Roof, Cone Roof, Dome Roof, Double Wall Tank etc including their Civil Works. We are also Experts in Construction of Horton Spheres, Cryogenic Tanks, Mounded Storage Vessels including Civil works, Instrumentation, Cathodic Protection system related to above.
STSPL has started as a Mechanical Construction Company in the year 1986. The Company got Approval from Chief Controller of Explosive Organization (CCOE/PESO) for Unfired Pressure Vessels Construction of Horton Spheres, Mounded Storage Vessels from 1993. We are also Registered with various Organization namely IBR, Lloyds, BVIS, IRS etc.
STSPL developed a Dedicated and Deeply Committed Cadre of Engineers and Technicians in Several Disciplines. The Growth Achieved by STSPL over the Years is a Fitting Testimony to the Success of their Dedication. Our Directors have undergone Training with M/s Graver Tanks & Manufacturing Company, Chicago (U.S.A) and have acquired thorough Knowledge in the Construction of Spheres, Cryogenic Storage Tanks etc. STSPL has a team of 2500 Members which Includes 150 Engineers and Management Professions, Highly Skilled Workmen, and Dedicated Site Personal. All Achievements that have been highlighted herein are a result of their Unflinching Commitment.
Apart from field Activities, STSPL also having well Equipped Fabrication Workshop at Tarapur (Boisar) MIDC Industrial Area, Maharashtra having 44000 square feet area and obtained Approval from Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) Nagpur. Our Shop also got approval from various Inspection Agencies and Consultants for Manufacturing of Static Equipments like Unfired Pressure Vessels, Process Columns, Heat Exchangers etc. Our Workshop is also approved by various Inspection Agencies and Consultants which includes LRIS, EIL, BVIS, UHDE (INDIA) and many others.
STSPL has Constructed more than 250 Horton Spheres through-out the Country and also quite number of Storage Tanks like Floating roof, Cone roof, Dome roof, Cryogenic Double Wall Tanks etc. We have designed and Constructed Various Mounded storage vessels for companies like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, RELIANCE and other Oil & Gas Companies including Civil, Mechanical, Cathodic Protection and Instrumentations.
